A Quick Guide to Dressing Up as Ron Weasley Playing Quidditch

So, Book Week is here, and true Harry Potter fans know that dressing up as Ron Weasley playing Quidditch is a spellbinding choice! Let’s dive into how to create a look that’s both magical and Quidditch-approved using a couple of key props you may already have at home.First off, let’s talk about the heart of Ron’s Quidditch outfit: the iconic Gryffindor Quidditch uniform.

For starters, you’ll need a Gryffindor Quidditch jumper. Head to Quizzic Alley, where you can grab an authentic-looking red jersey with golden stripes. Don’t forget to look for the Gryffindor crest emblazoned on the front—this is key to showing your House pride.

Of course, you’ll also need a Quidditch robe for that all-important wind flair when you’re up there on your broomstick guarding those goalposts.

While you might not have an actual Cleansweep Seven (the broom he uses in the books), Quizzic Alley has Firebolts that will have you soaring through the day with style: enchanted but not too flashy, just like Ron!

Next, let’s focus on the other essentials. Gloves are a must and they’re not just for style—they’re for grip! You can use any gloves you like – the longer the better, the bigger and bulkier they are the more authentic they will look. Think ski or motorbike gloves – perfect!

And don’t forget about the Quidditch goggles. Although optional (the costume will look great without them) they’ll ensure you are protected from rogue Bludgers during an enthusiastic Book Week parade. Swimming goggles will do.

What about a helmet? A rugby scrum cap (like a soft helmet) is ideal. If you don’t have one, you might be able to borrow one. Extra points if it’s brown but black will work just fine!

Lastly, don’t forget to give a nod to Ron’s personality. He’s not just a Quidditch player; he’s a loyal friend with a great sense of humour. Consider making a howler and carrying it around, maybe even screech at a few friends Molly style. What about a Chocolate Frog or two for a bit of Ron-inspired fun!Why is Ron such a great choice for Book Week, you ask? Well, he’s not just one of Harry’s best friends; he’s the embodiment of that lovable, underdog spirit. His Quidditch journey, while not as glamorous as Harry’s, shows his growth and dedication. Plus, dressing up as Ron gives you the perfect opportunity to channel his quirky charm and good-natured bravery.

So, gather your magical items, don your Quidditch gear, and get ready for your Book Week parade. With a bit of help from Quizzic Alley and a dash of Ron’s spirit, your costume will be a true hit—no Quidditch fouls involved!
