Australia’s most magical store turns one!
It’s our birthday! It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since we alohamora’d the door to let that first batch of passionate fans in for the very first time. Since then we’ve welcomed around 100,000 people to Quizzic Alley, from all over Canberra and the region, from interstate and from overseas. Every week we meet people who have travelled to Canberra just to visit our store. We’ve even had groups travel from Sydney and Wagga to do a potions class. Our wonderful potions professors have hosted almost 350 classes for kids’ birthday parties.. and a few grown up

“Crimes of Grindelwald” coming to Netflix
Accio the popcorn because The Crimes of Grindelwald is coming to Netflix this month. All set for its Australian Netflix debut on Friday 13th September, the flick is the second instalment in the Harry Potter spin-off series Fantastic Beasts. It was released in November last year, starring Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Zoe Kravitz, Dan Fogler and Johnny Depp. The film received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike but Quizzic Alley followers seemed to like it. Lumos wand installation – where to see it!
Photo fantasticbeasts.co.uk Planning a trip to the UK next year? Do you remember seeing photos of the Lumos Wand Installation in London, ahead of the release of The Crimes of Grindelwald? It looked quite magical illuminating the City of London near St. Paul’s Cathedral and it’s now on the move. Residents of the UK were invited to campaign and vote to determine the four regional cities the installation would visit in the lead up to the release of the third Fantastic Beasts film in November 2021.
